Facing Asymmetry

The human face is such a study. It's an ever-changing landscape. A slightly crooked nose or a face covered with freckles or wrinkles tells a story.


The emotional asymmetry of the face fascinates me. Split the face into a left and a right section, then mirror the two split images, and you will find two separate, symmetrical identities. We are two faces in one, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.


One of my curiosities behind barflies, dreamers and posers was how each side of the face can say two things at the same time. Can you relate?
